Nothing beats the feel of glass on your lips. As a lover of fine wine, whiskey, and premium mixers, I found myself frustrated by the travel-friendly drinkware options available – metal altered the taste, plastic felt cheap, and neither offered the experience I was after.
I wanted a glass – real glass – that I could take with me. One that honoured the drink, without compromising on flavour, aesthetics, or ritual. But glass is fragile. So the challenge became: how do you take something inherently delicate and make it portable, practical, and stylish?
That challenge sparked the creation of The Glass Cocoon® – a fusion of refined glassware and engineered protection. We collaborated with leading designers and prototype engineers in Auckland to develop a precision-fit protective shell that cradles the glass, securing it for travel without adding bulk or fuss.
Many iterations later, we arrived at a solution worthy of the drinks it holds. The Glass Cocoon is a statement piece for the conscious, cultured drinker – someone who appreciates design, demands quality, and refuses to compromise.
